There’s no doubt: thanks to Artefiera this is Bologna’s best week of the winter and most alive week-end. It’s that time of the year when Bologna Exhibition Center becomes a massive art gallery and the whole city embraces a plethora of openings, parties and events in the name of art.
This 41st edition hosts 153 art galleries plus a range of art editors, specialized publications and bookshops, transforming the late Sixties pavilions of “Bologna Fiere” into a path of art contemplation and insight.
In addition to the main section, director Angela Vettese inserted and personally curated a photography section, while Simone Frangi took care of “Buena Vista”, for artists and works worth rediscovering.
Then there’s Art City, i.e. the wide series of events embracing the whole city center (there’s a free bus service to and from the Exhibition Center), culminating in the Art City White Night on saturday 28th. So take a map, keep eyes and ears wide open and let the race to the best party begin.
